Where is Blanco Urban Venue?
Blanco Urban is a sleek and modern wedding venue located in historic downtown San Jose. It is a historic building that has been transformed into a modern space providing a blank canvas for any type of event. Its location is prime as you can walk outside and be in the heart of downtown San Jose with tons of restaurants, bars, hotels, and shopping! It is only a 7-minute drive to San Jose International Airport making it easy travel for those flying in for your wedding.
Why Get Married at Blanco Urban Venue?
1. Rooftop Event Space for Your Ceremony or Reception
One of the best parts of Blanco Urban Venue is that it has 3 stories with the top one being a rooftop deck. I love this because you can have the best of both worlds with an outdoor ceremony with a sleek and modern feel. You get to get married in the heart of a city in a more private and intimate setting! Plus the rooftop deck is super simple with a white statement fireplace and bistro lights allowing you to make the space your own! The space is big enough to host up to 170 for a wedding ceremony and 70 for a reception.
2. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
If you are having lots of guests fly in for your wedding, there is nothing better than making travel and finding a place to stay super easy. Because this venue is located in the heart of downtown San Jose, there is an abundance of hotels, restaurants, and things to do during the weekend your guests are in town! And because the venue is located in the historic downtown San Jose, there are lots of charming spots to take wedding photos!
3. Large Reception Space
If you are having a bigger wedding with more guests, the Great Room is an awesome space that offers 3,870 sq. ft. of unobstructed indoor function space with multiple configuration options. With 30-foot ceilings, the space is huge and provides the perfect atmosphere to celebrate your love. The space is simple and ready for you to add your personal touches to it. It can host up to 230 people for a wedding reception.
4. Historical Charm
While this is a super sleek and modern venue, it has a lot of historical charm which adds so much character. The original style of this building was Spanish architecture and so to keep the integrity of the building, its authentic 150-year-old brick walls have been carefully restored. The white brick is a statement piece in this venue that adds lots of character while still keeping the space simple.
5. Blank Canvas
Whether you imagine your day to be simple and elegant with lots of white and neutral tones or super colorful, they both will look amazing. Because most of the venue has white walls, it’s essentially a blank canvas for you to bring your dream wedding to life!

Okay now let’s get into some commonly asked questions that every couple wants to know when looking at wedding venues.
When is the best time of the year to get married at Blanco Urban Venue?
You can get married at Blanco Urban Venue year-round as they have both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Does Blanco Urban offer catering?
Blanco Urban does not offer their own catering but they have partnered with some amazing local caterers that you can choose from. If you would prefer someone not on this list, they must be full-service and pre-approved by Blanco prior to signing with the caterer, and at least 60 days in advance.
Do they allow outside vendors?
Other than catering, Blanco Urban allows you to bring in your own vendors as long as they are properly licensed and insured.
Can we have a rehearsal dinner at Blanco Urban?
Yes, as long as the space is available you can have a rehearsal dinner 1-7 days before your wedding.
Is there parking?
Blanco Urban does not have its own parking, but luckily there is a covered parking structure about 30 yards from the venue.
How long is the venue available to us?
They offer a 10-hour venue rental, including set up and break down time. Additional hours can be purchased at a rate of $750/hour (subject to prior written approval). Events can be booked at any time of day, ending by 11 p.m. with vendors vacated by midnight.
How do we book the venue?
To book the venue 50% of the estimated grand total (rental fee, estimated bar, and A/V) and a $750 refundable security deposit are required upon signage of the contract. The remaining 50% of the venue rental is due 60 days prior to the wedding.
