This journal entry might seem a little random, but for those who really know me, you know that travel is such an integral part of who I am, and a huge part of where my love of photography came from. For those of you who have been around since the beginning, you know my dream always used to be a National Geographic photographer. I absolutely loved photographing landscapes. I would lug my massive [and heavy] camera gear all over the world with me to capture all the pretty corner of the world I explored. And then, when my business shifted and I went full time with weddings, I sort of lost that part of me. I no longer felt inspired to document all the travels and adventures the way that I used to. Or if i did, I wouldn’t share it because it didn’t fit my “brand” anymore.

But boy, this trip to Scotland reignited a spark that I haven’t felt in so long. The thrill of shooting through a window of a moving car – something I haven’t done in way too long, but have the fondest memories doing as a kid in the backseat of my parents car. This trip was the most beautiful reminder to document everything, always.
