If you live in or are near the San Francisco area, you definitely need to consider China Beach & Lands End for your engagement photos. It offers the most epic views of the Golden Gate Bridge on the most beautiful beach. I recently took Madi & Lauren’s sunrise engagement photoshoot at China Beach and it was perfect!

A Meaningful Engagement Location

I’ve known Madi and Lauren for over a decade, so it was super sweet to get to capture their sunrise engagement photoshoot all these years later.  Madi used to live in San Francisco, and they spent a lot of time here in the early stages of their relationship, so it was a special excuse to come back to the city to capture their engagement photos. 

I truly believe that every couple should consider taking their engagement photos at a place that is meaningful to them. Whether it be where you first met, your first date, or a place you hung out a lot early on in your relationship, it will just make the session ten times more special. 

Sunrise Engagement Photoshoot at the Beach

Madi & Lauren woke up at 4:30 to make the drive to SF for sunrise and boy was it worth it!! We had the most gorgeous morning before a crazy storm hit. It was the perfect misty morning of rainbows, wind, and laughter. 

I don’t often do sunrise sessions because my clients typically prefer the evening but WOW this was the most beautiful morning for them. There was hardly anyone on the beach making it so quiet and calm. I highly recommend sunrise sessions if we want to avoid any crowds! It was slightly cloudy so we had the perfect lighting throughout the entire session. 

More Photos at Lands End

Pretty close to China Beach is Lands End which is an iconic area in SF that is also beautiful for engagement photos. We wandered around through the trees and captured some more stunning photos. At this point, it was getting much sunnier which made for the most perfect lighting. 

The love these two have for one another truly shined through in these photos and I am so happy I got to capture this special moment in their life.
